Welcome to the March Pinto Post!

Spring is fast approaching on the Virigina Range! Keep an eye our for wildflowers, shedding coats and some new babies. Please read on for updates and stories about the Virginia Range mustangs and all the amazing individuals and organizations working to protect them!

Fertility Control Program Galloping Ahead

February was a very fun and busy month with lots of productive meetings, exciting events, and fantastic work done on the Virginia Range. Happy Tails Rescues


February saw its fair share of rescues, from horses on the road to a foal getting stuck in fencing… twice! Read on to see how these situations were handled by the experienced teams working hard everyday to protect the Virginia Range wild horses and to learn about new TLAR training classes.

Please use the above number if you see horses or foals injured, sick, or at risk. Where does your call go? Your call goes to a 24/7 answering service that will connect with an on-call volunteer. From there volunteers, proper agencies and organizations will be dispatched. This includes, but is not limited to, local organizations, a large animal rescue team, and the sheriff's office in the corresponding area.
