Welcome to the November Pinto Post!

So much has happened on the Virginia Range recently. We want to share all the amazing things the volunteers and community organizations are doing to protect the mustangs who live here! The Pinto Post is a volunteer-run, electronic publication not branded to any one organization but created to shine a light on the incredible work of the many wild horse organizations in the Reno/Carson City area. Our next issue will come out December 1, so please submit articles and ideas by October 24 if you'd like an item included:  ThePintoPost@gmail.com or through this Google Form.

Fertility Control Program Galloping Ahead

This month you can read all about how PZP works and why it is the most effective humane management tool available as well as the most updated PZP statistics from the Virginia Range.

As always, huge gratitude and thanks to Blockchains LLC, Assembly Minority Leader Jim Wheeler and Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak for getting this program going again, and to the incredible volunteers who are showing how it's done on the Virginia Range!

Happy Tails Rescues

Rescue is an important part of range management. The Virginia Range is lucky to have many dedicated volunteers keeping a close eye on the horses. Read more below about a wild horse named Tavi who got himself in a pickle and stuck along a highway.

If you see an injured horse or a horse in danger, or a situation you are concerned about, please call the 24-hour Wild Horse Hotline 775-352-3944. An operator will dispatch your call to someone who can initiate a call if warranted.
