Working with Local Residents:
The Virginia Range Wildlife Protection Association (VRWPA) has completed the wildlife garden in the Highlands dedicated to volunteer, Nancy Killian’s memory. The garden was an Aston Ray’s Eagle Scout project which was completed on May 31st.
We had many people donate to the garden: American Wild Horse Campaign, the Let ‘em Run Foundation, and the Wild Horse Preservation League to name a few.
VRWPA drilled a well to support all wildlife and the garden at the beginning of June. We will also be working with Carson City to install some fencing at the south end of the Carson Landfill to discourage wild horses from entering the property.
Any donations for VRWPA’s Carson Landfill fencing project can be made at vrwpa.com/donations.
